TerraTrust Launches Local Fruit Tree Initiative in the Rosenheim District 🌳🍎
Starting in July, things are getting greener – and fruitier – at TerraTrust! With our new initiative in the Rosenheim district, we’re supporting local farmers by helping them plant apple and pear trees. The goal: to strengthen the region both ecologically and economically through sustainability, local value creation, and a more beautiful landscape.
🌱 Why Fruit Trees?
While many environmental projects focus on reforestation with native forest species, we’re taking a different route – fruit trees. They not only enhance biodiversity and bring natural beauty to the landscape, but also directly support local food production and businesses.
A trusted farmer from the region will plant the first ten trees, using the fruit to produce local schnapps and fresh products for sale. It’s a great example of sustainable, circular agriculture with tangible local impact.
💚 Blockchain Meets the Soil
As a Cardano project written in C, it’s important to us that the benefits of decentralized technology are felt beyond the digital world. That’s why we’re committing 10% of our fixed costs directly to this tree-planting project. Each tree we plant is proof that blockchain can be both global and deeply local in its impact.
🌸 What We’re Aiming For
-
Support for regional agriculture
-
Promotion of sustainable fruit production
-
Long-term carbon capture and biodiversity
-
A more vibrant and beautiful local landscape
This is just the beginning. Our vision is to scale this initiative by financing more trees and working closely with partners across the region – growing together, quite literally.
